Fantasy Flight Games Obtains Legends of the Five Rings

l have been a fan of the L5R setting for some time. I was an avid player of the RPG and collected but never played the card game. It was a almost perfect mix of fantasy/oriental. My only complaint was I wanted Ninja and they were almost non-existent. It was a complex setting filled with combat and politics. They had a great idea for adventures by classifying them to type. Would it be Bushido dealing with morals, or Intrigue or combat. but they never really made that work.

Now Fantasy Flight Games has obtained the IP. They are reimagining the CCG into a Living card Game without the randomized boosters. I am a big fan of the LCG format as it gives players all they need without needlessly buying packs or expensive rare cards in the hopes of getting the card they want. By the quality of their current Star Wars games the new version of the RPG will be impressive. The bad news is we have to wait for 2017 to get our hands on it.
